OUR FIRST-EVER LETTER

Dear Editor,

Having just read your first effort of 'Weaving In And Out' K's fanzine I thought I'd write some words of encouragement.

I found your superbly childish "Are you a Sutton fan?" a real joy. Though explaining why numbers 4 and 11 are so funny to my long suffering wife was a little difficult. My 2 year old daughter regularly sings "We hate Sutton and we hate Sutton…" around our native Chessington.

Your heartfelt appreciation of Jack does you great credit. There was certainly a gap between our lot doing the singing in the late 80's/early 90's and your present efforts.

It might interest you to know that the "Slow-Low" version of the "K's go marching in" was invented by about 15 of us on a miserable pissed day at Harrow Boro in the late 80's. See myself or Mark "part of the inner sanctum" Murphy for details.

God! I am sounding like an old bore already and I'm only 35. Suffice to say in answer to your question "Where were you when we were shit?" I was there enjoying every drunken non-league moment of it.

Give that Vodka-sodden mob a run for our money. Good luck with number 2.

Yours in Hoops,
Ian Gray
